FKS family,

It has been a whirlwind of activity, learning and fun the last few weeks. With field day, celebrations of learning, concerts, 5th grade clap out, Kindergarten round up, 5th grade picnic, 5th grade move up party, spring carnival, and the therapy dogs visiting, the end of the year really snuck up on us.

We were thrilled to hold our end of year awards assembly today where we announced our revised core values for next school year as well as several items related to expectations tied to our core values, and recognitions.

Congratulations also to the following rising 5th graders who went through a rigorous selection process and were presented to the school as the FKS Student Ambassadors for the start of the 25-26 school year - Kaitlyn B, Emmett C, Olivia C, Valentina G, Sammy  H, Ella J, Ryan S, and Akshini D

As we wrap up the year, it is only fitting we make a special mention of 4 amazing educators who have dedicated and impacted so many students and faculty during their tenure in Washington Township. Congratulations on retirement to Ms. Jill Tynan, Ms. Irene May, Ms. Meryl Kurtz, and Ms. Louise Quinn. You take with you so much experience and knowledge and leave large shoes to fill. We appreciate all you have done and will miss you.

Finally, a reminder that the school will be seeing several large scale renovation projects over the summer break. We ask our school community to be aware of construction zones and vehicles and recommend staying away from the school until it is safe to do so. We are excited for these projects which include air conditioning, a new STEAM space in each building and new parking lot!!!!

We take this opportunity to thank you for your partnership and support this school year and now eagerly look forward to an amazing 2025-2026. Have a safe, healthy and fun summer break.
