This year LVMS has been recognizing "Student of the Month". Each month teachers nominated students that best portray our We Are PANTHERS school motto. Congratulations to our Panthers of the Month for the first 1/2 of the school year!

Throughout the 2024-25 school year, Mr. Ippolito and Mr. Mirabella will host "Panther Chats" for a behind the scenes look at LVMS. All LVMS families are invited to join us in the LVMS Library for a chance to get to know the LVMS Administrators, discuss various topics about the school, give feedback, provide input, and ask questions. For our second chat, we will discuss our WTSchools Code of Conduct, Philosophy of Discipline, and student technology. Join us on Thursday, January 23rd at 6:30 PM in the LVMS Library. "Panther Chats" will take place immediately before the LVMS PTA Meeting which is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM.

The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) application is now available to students. Students interested in applying for NJHS should complete the application highlighting their Leadership Experience, Service Activities, Community Activities, and Work Experience. All applicants are reviewed by the Faculty Council to determine a students eligibility for membership. Applications are due to Mrs. Smith by Friday, January 31st, 2025 at 3:30 PM. Late or incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

8th Grade Ads

The Yearbook Staff at Long Valley Middle School invites you to make a memorable addition to the 2024-25 Yearbook in the form of a WELL WISHER. Some parents surprise their graduate with this gift. All Ads must be purchased by February 15, 2025.  NO LATE SUBMISSIONS will be accepted beyond that submission date. Only one ad per student is allowed.

Sign ups for Volleyball club are now open! Sign ups are limited to 50 students and are taken on a first come first serve basis. The club will hold the first session on February 4th and then meet every Tuesday and Thursday until Spring Break. If you plan to participate, make sure that you have a permission slip and check for $50, made payable to “LVMS”, handed in to Mr. Petty by Monday, February, 3 (or the max of 50 students is met). Any student that is interested in participating in Spring 2025 Sports at LVMS must submit all required paperwork and physical information by 3:30 PM on Friday, March 14, 2025. Paperwork cannot be accepted after this date. All completed forms can be dropped off at the LVMS Main Office, placed in the locking blue mailbox outside of the main office, or submitted directly to Mrs. Hade, our school nurse. 
Physical forms and paperwork should not be submitted directly to the coaches at any point.

CASINO NIGHT - February 13, 2025

On February 13, 2025, the LVMS PTA will be hosting our biggest fundraiser of the year! We hope you will join us at The Chandelier at Flanders Valley for an incredible night out. Upon arrival, you will check in, collect your funny money, and find your seat upstairs. You can then grab a drink (wine and beer are included with admission) and head downstairs, where there will be hors d'oeuvres to enjoy while you play casino games from 6:00 to 9:00. If you need a break from the fun downstairs, you can return upstairs to enjoy the buffet-style dinner and photo booth. At the end of the evening, you can cash in your funny money for raffle tickets for a chance to win a prize in the tricky tray portion of the evening. The drawing for those prizes will take place from 9:15 to 10:00 while dessert is being served. 

This is the perfect opportunity to learn how to play casino games without any pressure! All games are played with your fake "funny money" with a $100 buy-in at most tables. Our professional dealers are there to help teach and guide new players while providing a fun environment for those with more experience. The pit boss will also be running special games throughout the evening with chances to win bonus funny money. 

There will be many ways to win real prizes too! We will have door prizes, Casino Night scratch-off games, and Panther Plinko, where you are guaranteed to win funny money or a prize valued up to $150.00. Plus, there is a grand prize for whoever cashes in the most funny money at the end of the evening! More details on the prizes will be released in January. 

Whether you are looking to enjoy a special pre-Valentine's Day date with someone special or let off some steam with some friends, this is going to be a very special night with something for everyone! There are a very limited number of tickets available, and if you buy before December 31, you will receive a voucher for one free "special game" run by the pit boss—a $20.00 value.

LVMS PTA SHOE DRIVE

This year the LVMS PTA is partnering with GotSneakers as a year-round fundraiser. To participate, simply drop your pairs of used athletic shoes in the available box that will be located in the LVMS lobby starting September 17.
