Don't forget the following important information:

1. Parent Teachers Conferences are this week (Monday - Wednesday). Each day LVMS will follow an Early Dismissal Schedule. As a reminder, if you were not contacted for a conference at this time, we hope you’ll take the opportunity to celebrate your child’s accomplishments so far this year. Conferences are always available by request, even outside of the designated Parent/Teacher conference days.

2. PickUp Patrol / Early Dismissal & Walker Reminder: Due to the Early Dismissal Days, please be advised that the cut-off time for entering early dismissals/walkers this week is 12:30 PM.

3. ALL WTSchools will be CLOSED on Thursday and Friday this week for the NJEA Teachers Convention. Schools will reopen with a normal building schedule on Monday, November 11th.

4. The LVMS PTA is hosting a student social on Friday, November 8th at the Randolph Climbing Center from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. More information included in the PTA Section Below!

Do you have leftover Halloween Candy??

LVMS will be working with OFRS to collect leftover Halloween Candy that will be donated to the Bernardsville chapter of  the veterans (VFW Post 7858).   All candy that is collected will be taken to the VA Hospital or mailed to Military Bases for members of our armed forces.

All candy donations can be brought to homerooms and are due by Monday, November 11th!

Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled to begin on Monday, November 4th and conclude on Wednesday, November 6th. Many staff members have already began to schedule conferences with families. Due to the number of students, conferences are scheduled at the teachers request first. Parents are always encouraged to request a conference at any point by reaching out to the team of teachers.

Reminder! All dates follow the LVMS Early Dismissal Schedule (1:35 PM Ending Time)

Due to the volume of conferences, teams may schedule meetings outside of 11/4 - 11/6

Picture Retake Day: Tuesday, November 12th

• Students that missed picture day (on 10/2/24) are required to have their photo taken on 11/12

• Any student that purchased a picture packages and wants a retake, the photos must be returned to the photographer on the morning of Picture Retake Day (11/12)

8th Grade Ads

The Yearbook Staff at Long Valley Middle School invites you to make a memorable addition to the 2024-25 Yearbook in the form of a WELL WISHER. Some parents surprise their graduate with this gift. All Ads must be purchased by February 15, 2025.  NO LATE SUBMISSIONS will be accepted beyond that submission date. Only one ad per student is allowed.

The Scholastic Book Fair is Back!

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at LVMS November 12th - 15th. Students can shop during the school day. More information about payment, eWallet, etc. will be shared in the next few weeks!

LVMS PTA SHOE DRIVE

This year the LVMS PTA is partnering with GotSneakers as a year-round fundraiser. To participate, simply drop your pairs of used athletic shoes in the available box that will be located in the LVMS lobby starting September 17. If you would like to know more about GotSneakers and their mission to reduce waste, you can read about them here.
