A Few Important Reminders to Highlight!

1. This Friday, March 20th, is the FINAL deadline to submit paperwork/physicals for students who want to try out for Spring Sports at LVMS.  Paperwork cannot be accepted after that date.  Please CLICK HERE for more information.  

2. Attention 8th Grade Families!  The deadline to purchase/submit an 8th Grade Well Wisher Ad in the Yearbook has been extended to Friday, March 20th!  This will be the only extension.  Please CLICK HERE for more information.  

3. Attention 6th Graders!  The LVMS Student Council will be hosting the Western Dance this Friday, March 20th, from 7-8:30 PM.  Tickets will be sold during student lunch periods this week.  More Information below!

STUDENT VS. STAFF BASKETBALL: Thank you, NJHS Members, for hosting a great Student vs. Staff Basketball Game.  Over $2000 was raised to donate to the American Heart Foundation!

NEXTREX RECYCLING CHALLENGE COMPLETE: Just because we met this goal doesn’t mean you have to stop saving plastic bags from landfills. You can save them at home and drop them off any time in the plastic bag recycling bins found outside Weiss Market or Kohl's in Hackettstown.

LVJWC 27TH ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST: 3/2 kicks off the 27th Annual Digital Photo Contest sponsored by the Long Valley Junior Women's Committee! Please see below for additional information / the registration form.  

LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD ITEM DRIVE: Please help donate to the School's Sports Drive that supports Leveling the Playing Field by dropping off old sports equipment. Look for the bins at the main entrance and in the halls. Please help by getting all your donations in by Friday, May 8.  More Information included below!

LOST AND FOUND: LVMS Lost and Found bins are starting to overflow! If your child has lost an article of clothing or a water bottle, please have them check the lost and found. There is a lost and found bin in the vestibule at the LVMS Main Entrance, as well as one in the stairwell upstairs to 6th grade by Rooms 223 and 224. All unclaimed items will be donated by the end of the day on 3/27/2026.

In a back-and-forth thriller, the Staff was able to pull off a win in the 2026 Student vs. Staff Basketball Game!  Thank you to all of our players, staff, and students who attended.  It was another great event where over $2000 will be donated to the American Heart Association!

The Main Office has implemented a new digital sign-in and sign-out system.  This update will help improve accuracy and efficiency with our attendance records.  Parents should continue to use PickUp Patrol to report all student attendance (late arrivals, early dismissals, walkers, and absences)

Students Arriving Tardy: Students will now sign in using a Chromebook station in the Main Office.  After signing in, students will make a pass to their locker/class. 

Parents are NOT required to enter the building when dropping a student off at LVMS.  

Students Leaving Early: Parents/guardians picking up students will sign their student(s) out using our kiosk/laptop in the LVMS Vestibule.  

Parents ARE required to enter the building when signing their student(s) out for dismissal.

WE DID IT, LVMS! As a community, we collected 1043 pounds of plastic in less than 7 months! Our new recycled plastic bench has arrived and has temporarily been placed outside the Main Office. Sports Participation Fee:
Any student who makes the team must pay a $115.00 "Pay to Participate" Fee. This fee is paid for each season the student participates in. Coaches will provide more information on payment. Payment and collection of fees will be handled AFTER rosters are set and finalized by coaches.
