8TH GRADE END OF YEAR EVENTS: Attention 8th grade parents! Please check your email (sent 3/17/25) for information about 8th grade end of year events / field trips. All students went home with paper copies of permission slips today. Please be aware the date of our 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony is still TBD and will be announced in April.
6TH GRADE WESTERN DANCE SUCCESS: Thank you LVMS Student Council for hosting an AWESOME Western Dance!

LVJWC PHOTO CONTEST 2025: Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students! The Long Valley Junior Women's Photo Contest is back! Please see below for more information.
PANTHERS DEN OPEN: The Panthers Den will be open on Wednesday, March 26th during student support periods.
STUDENT DRINKS: As a reminder, students are ONLY permitted to have refillable water bottles in the classrooms. Energy Drinks (Monster, PRIME, Celcius, Red Bull, etc.), Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and other Specialty Drinks are not permitted in the building during the school day (this includes student lunch periods).
LOST AND FOUND: Our Lost & Found bin, found in the LVMS front vestibule is OVERFLOWING! Please check for sweatshirts, jackets, water bottles, lunch boxes, etc. Be aware! Unclaimed items will be donated after March 28th.
NJSLA INFRASTRUCTURE TEST: This Wednesday, March 26th, LVMS will run an infrastructure test in preparation for the NJSLA Testing that will occur in May. The purpose of this will be to make sure our network and equipment are prepared for testing week. Please make every effort to have your student at school on time on Wednesday, with their charged Chromebook and wired earbuds / headphones.

Attention 7th Grade Students! Are you interested in being an LVMS Peer Leader? Stop by the Guidance Office to pick up a Peer Leader Application. Applications are due to Mrs. Werneke in the Guidance Office by Thursday, April 17th. Please see Mrs. Werneke with any questions!
Destination Imagination (DI) is a problem-solving competition team. DI challenges students to think creatively and use their imagination to design a unique solution to a multi-tiered STEAM challenge.
March 22nd was the NJ DI 2025 State Tournament. LVMS had two teams competing. The Mischievous Muppets competed in the Scientific Challenge: Worlds Beyond earning first place. The Medieval Mauraders competed in the Engineering Challenge: Hire-Wire Act earning first place. Congratulations to all the students for an amazing job!

Thank you everyone who participated in CRAZY SOCKS DAY! After Friday’s spirit day here are the new House totals!
Currently, 8-2 is holding on to their lead for FIRST PLACE but… House 7-3 has moved into SECOND PLACE and House 8-1 is really close now in THIRD PLACE !!
The next Spirit Day is Friday, April 11th. It's "Famous Duo Day" - Team up with a friend and dress like a Famous Duo to show your school spirit (ex: Barbie and Ken).
As of last Friday, March 14h, the deadline to submit Physicals / Paperwork for Spring Sports has passed. Sports Forms can no longer be accepted!
More information will be provided soon about tryout dates for students that are eligible to participate.

To participate, simply drop your pairs of used athletic shoes in the available box that will be located in the LVMS lobby starting September 17.
