3. Take Your Child to Work Day: This Thursday, April 23rd, is Take Your Child to Work Day. If your student will be participating and will be absent from school, please indicate this in Pick-Up Patrol.

NEXTREX RECYCLING CHALLENGE COMPLETE: Just because we met this goal doesn’t mean you have to stop saving plastic bags from landfills. You can save them at home and drop them off in the plastic bag recycling bins outside Weiss Market or Kohl's in Hackettstown.
LVJWC 27TH ANNUAL PHOTO CONTEST: 3/2 kicks off the 27th Annual Digital Photo Contest sponsored by the Long Valley Junior Women's Committee! Please see the additional information / the registration form below.
LEVEL THE PLAYING FIELD ITEM DRIVE: Please help donate to the School's Sports Drive that supports Leveling the Playing Field by dropping off old sports equipment. Look for the bins at the main entrance and in the halls. Please help by getting all your donations in by Friday, May 8. More Information included below!

Updated AM Parent Drop Off Procedure
|
Student Drop Off Begins at 8:30 AM
Vehicles should enter the LVMS Property by the Washington Township Board of Education Building (53 West Mill Road). Vehicles should proceed up the driveway and follow the flow of traffic, turning right into the parking lot past the Board of Education Building (formerly a gravel lot). Vehicles should stack into the two (2) available lanes and follow the parking lot to the end. Vehicles will alternate merge, turning left back towards the main driveway. Students will be dropped off at the crosswalk (LVMS staff will be posted there to direct students into the building- noted below between the two sets of green **s). 5-6 vehicles should drop students off at a time and then proceed to exit the LVMS Campus by the Board of Education Office at West Mill Road. Vehicles ARE NOT permitted to enter the Main Staff Parking Lot or Bus Lane during this time.

Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day |
|
|
The New Jersey Department of Education encourages school districts to participate in "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" activities by giving children credit for school attendance even though they are “working” alongside their parents on this special day. In previous years, the day has been a success due to the cooperative efforts of thousands of parents, schools, businesses, organizations, and other concerned individuals who demonstrated their interest in children's education and participation in the workforce.
In order for our district to maintain accurate attendance records and account for all students, we are asking for your cooperation. If your family will be participating in "Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day" on Thursday, April 23, 2026, please update your child’s attendance in Pick-Up Patrol, indicating the absence with the comment “Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day” entered in the more information section. Your child will not be marked absent if we are properly informed of their participation in this program.
