Marking Period #3 will conclude tomorrow, Tuesday, April 8th. The OnCourse Portal will close as of 9:00 AM tomorrow (4/8) so staff members can finalize grades (students / parents will not have access to grades during this time). The OnCourse Portal will reopen on Wednesday, April 16th at 3:30 PM with all finalized grades.
Highlights from Last Week
STUDENT DRINKS: As a reminder, students are ONLY permitted to have refillable water bottles in the classrooms. Energy Drinks (Monster, PRIME, Celsius, Red Bull, etc.), Coffee, Hot Chocolate, and other Specialty Drinks are not permitted in the building during the school day (this includes student lunch periods).

Attention 7th Grade Students! Are you interested in being an LVMS Peer Leader? Stop by the Guidance Office to pick up a Peer Leader Application. Applications are due to Mrs. Werneke in the Guidance Office by Thursday, April 17th. Please see Mrs. Werneke with any questions!
The Washington Township School District is evaluating the potential for introducing Fencing to our complement of LVMS extra- and co-curricular opportunities for students during the 2025-2026 School Year. Before proceeding, however, our Leadership Team wishes to survey 5th, 6th, and 7th Grade families to determine overall interest in this program.
Please take a moment to complete this SURVEY if you wish for your child(ren) to be involved in a Fencing Club if one were to happen at the Long Valley Middle School. Be aware, this survey will close on Friday, April 11th.

As of last Friday, March 14h, the deadline to submit Physicals / Paperwork for Spring Sports has passed. Sports Forms can no longer be accepted!
More information will be provided soon about tryout dates for students that are eligible to participate.
Boys Baseball - 7th / 8th Grades
Baseball tryouts are cancelled for today, Monday, April 7th. Tryouts for Tuesday, April 8 will be for pitchers and catchers only, in the North Gym, until 4:30.
Girls Softball - 7th / 8th Grades
Softball tryouts are cancelled for today, Monday, April 7th. Tryouts for the Softball team will begin on April 8th and run through April 11th. Players are expected to attend all days. See Coach Demarest or visit the softball website for more information.
Boys and Girls Track & Field** - 6th - 8th Grades
The first track meeting will be Tuesday, April 8th right after school we will meet in the N. Gym, until 4:30pm. Please have a ride home at 4:30pm. Athletes do not need to change for our first meeting.

To participate, simply drop your pairs of used athletic shoes in the available box that will be located in the LVMS lobby starting September 17.
