Highlights from Last Week

INCOMING 6TH GRADERS VISIT LVMS: Last week BAC 5th Graders visited LVMS as part of our Incoming 6th Grade Orientation events! Thank you to our Peer Leaders, 6th Grade Teachers, and School Counselors for assisting and welcoming our new Panthers!

TALENT SHOW SUCCESS: Congratulations the LVMS Student Council and all students and staff that participated in the Talent Show. It was a GREAT show!

CONGRATULATIONS DESTINATION IMAGINATION TEAMS: A BIG congratulations to the LVMS Destination Imagination teams on a successful trip to Kansas City over Memorial Day Weekend!

8TH GRADE END OF YEAR EVENTS: Attention 8th Grade Parents. Please check your email for important information on some upcoming end of year events that are scheduled this week. Email was sent 6/2/2025.

END OF YEAR SCHEDULES: Please see included dates with modified schedule information -
-Tuesday, June 10th: Regular dismissal schedule for 6th and 7th Grader Students. 8th Grade dismissed via buses at 11:00 AM (all students must leave via bus at 11AM).
-Wednesday, June 11th: Early Dismissal Schedule (1:35 PM Dismissal)

8th Grade End of Year Dance - 6/5/2025

Event Information

Date: Thursday, June 5th, 2025

Time: 7:00 - 9:00 PM

Location: Long Valley Middle School

Dance Theme: Beach Chic White Party Attire

What to Wear: Wear white attire: White dress, white pants, white skirt/shorts, white button down with white shorts/pants, white collar shirt

RSVP: Please RSVP by May 30th - Only NO responses are necessary!

LVMS Celebrates the Class of 2025!

When: Tuesday, June 10, 2025

Where: Long Valley Middle School: 51 West Mill Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853 (Behind school building on the large field)

Time: 6:00 - 7:30 PM (8th grade students should arrive 5:15 PM and report to their lineup location)

Parking: LVMS Staff will be on site to assist with parking beginning at 5:00 PM. The campus will be closed prior to 5:00 PM. Please be aware we anticipate a large crowd to celebrate our 8th graders - please carpool if at all possible.

Tickets: Each student will receive two (2) tickets for the ceremony. Tickets will be distributed directly to students in school the week of Promotion. Tickets will ONLY be utilized in the event of an indoor promotion on the rain date - There is NO limit on guests for an outdoor ceremony.

2025-26 Yearbook Cover Contest

Contest Rules:

This design MUST be ORIGINAL ART designed by YOU (cannot be anything you downloaded off the internet, due to copyright issues) and must be SUBMITTED & DESIGNED BY STUDENTS ONLY 2.
You may submit an 8.5 x 11 front cover and 8.5 x 11 back cover on paper or make a copy of the the provided Canva template and submit your design digitally.
Must include our “We are Panthers” theme any way you choose BE CREATIVE! You do not need to include the “words” but the “theme” should be incorporated into your design somehow
Your design MUST include our mascot - the PANTHER in your design

The Panther baseball team will have its end of season pizza party and wiffle ball game on Tuesday, June 3, until 4:30.

Girls Softball - 7th / 8th Grades

The Girls softball team will have their end of the season party on Tuesday, June 3rd, after school from 3:30---4:15. Players should also return their cleaned uniforms to Coach Demarest ASAP.

Fall 2025 Sports Information

Paperwork for Fall Sports will be released later this week! All information will be emailed to 6th and 7th grade families directly. Included are the sports available for the Fall Season.
